We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate with a molecular or cell biology background. As a key contributor, you will work with a dynamic, cross-functional team, developing and executing experiments to identify drug candidates and support SAR studies for our diverse preclinical portfolio. You will join a biotech startup with long-term stability due to significant funding, but whose drug discovery and development organization is very much in formation. A lot can change in this early and exciting phase, providing many opportunities for significant impact. RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Conduct cell-based assays in medium to high-throughput formats
  • Perform routine mammalian cell culture and cryobanking
  • Prepare buffers, reagents, and maintain lab equipment
  • Record, analyze, and communicate experimental data in a clear and concise fashion
  • Work with the manager and biology team to improve operational efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • M.S. degree or B.S. with 3+ years of drug development experience
  • Proficient in aseptic cell culture techniques & demonstrates strong technical skills
  • Hand-on experience with 96-well or 384-well plate format and techniques such as ELISA, western blot, and reporter assays 
  • Familiarity with flow cytometry is advantageous
  • Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to work on-site and attend in-person meetings five days per week
  • Passion for making a difference in the world and scientific discovery

  • Salary Range: $80,000 - $115,000
