We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist to support our macrocycle discovery efforts. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Independently design, develop and perform biochemical, biophysical and cell-based assays to drive preclinical drug discovery
• Develop and validate translational and preclinical models
• Design and execute mechanism of action experiments  
• Proactively review latest scientific literature to incorporate latest discoveries or technologies into discovery research efforts
• Provide scientific expertise and make recommendations for new target identification 
• Generate, analyze and interpret data and document in detail in an electronic lab notebook 
• Represent Biology in cross-functional teams 
• Organize, summarize and present data in diverse forums 
• Work effectively in a collaborative and dynamic environment 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• PhD in Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or related field with 3-6+ years of relevant drug-discovery experience -OR- equivalent combined degree and industry experience
• Strong conceptual knowledge and technical expertise in cell and molecular biology with a proven ability to solve complex scientific problems. 
• Ability to serve as the scientific champion of drug discovery programs 
• Proven experience in working in collaborative cross-functional teams
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a matrix environment are required
