We think from atoms to bits – and everywhere in between; now, we are seeking a highly-motivated, creative, and knowledgeable Senior Software Development Engineer to help us build a highly-scalable computational drug discovery platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with, communicate with, and support the computational scientists at Vilya to help build a world-class computational macrocycle drug discovery pipeline.
• Design, implement, optimize, and maintain various distributed computational workloads, using algorithms based on machine learning, physics, chemistry, and biology.
• Participate in the development and enhancement of our software platform to ensure that our codebase is reliable, efficient, secure, and scalable.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Understanding of general software development best practices (including git, containers, testing, cloud computing, etc.)
• Proficiency in software performance optimization with respect to hardware (CPU, GPU, memory, storage, networks) and cloud architecture
• Experience with Python scientific computing tools (e.g. numpy, pandas, pytorch, etc.)
• Experience with data visualization, process monitoring, and automation
• Experience working within Linux environments
• Ability to effectively communicate with a team of diverse backgrounds
• 3-6+ years of experience in software development
• B.S. in computer science (or equivalent industry experience)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience/interest in one or more of the following:

• High-performance computing
• Machine learning
• Optimizing algorithm and data structure performance
• Optimizing database performance in big data and machine learning contexts
• Deployment of deep learning models, especially at large scales in distributed settings

• Salary Range : $140,000 – $195,000
